Written in April 2017 during my sophomore year of college, this analytical essay provides an overview of the evolution of English language styles on the Internet, from its birth to the present. It can be accessed here.
This won the award for Excellence in the Art of the Essay at Northwest Missouri State.

This paper is an analysis of Susan Orlean’s New Yorker article “Orchid Fever,” and its adaptation by Charlie Kaufman, written in a Literature and Film class during my first semester at Park University. It analyzes themes of obsession, intertextual translation, and the ways that a good story can change how we look at ourselves.
The process of learning more about the experiences of Orlean, Laroche, and Kaufman was formative in helping to re-discover what writing means - has always meant - to me. You can read it here.

A literature review I conducted for my Professional Writing class at Park University, analyzing contemporary academic discourse surrounding collaborative fiction and its influence on writers of all kinds. Collaborative writing is a particular passion of mine, as it was crucial in teaching me the importance of community in writing.
